Technical Support Questions
A: Reconnect both sides of the power cord and make sure that it is pushed all the way in on the computer side – sometimes it fits tight so make sure to push it in all the way into the connector.
Check to make sure that the power supply is turned on. Look on the back of the PC next to the power cord connector, there is a switch marked with “O” and “I” – make sure it is in the on position (usually marked as “I”).
The computer powers on but there is nothing on the screen – the lights are on and fans are spinning.
A: Make sure that the monitor is set to the right input. (Ex: If you are using HDMI 1 connection make sure that the monitor is set to HDMI 1 not HDMI 2, DisplayPort or anything else.)
Make sure that the monitor is plugged into the graphics card (if your system comes with one) and not into the motherboard video output. The motherboard video connector is usually higher on the case and surrounded with USB connectors while the graphics card connector is lower on the case and does not have USB or other ports around it.
Shut off the PC and turn it back on again after making sure that you connected the monitor correctly.
A: Make sure you are plugging the speakers into the correct output device. If you have a dedicated sound card - you will need to plug your speakers into the sound card itself, not the motherboard output jacks. Make sure you are plugging the speakers into the correct port – marked as output or out and is usually green.
If everything is plugged in correctly and you are using powered speakers - make sure that your speakers are plugged into power and powered on.
Make sure that the correct audio output is selected. In windows search bar type “Sound Settings”. Open the sound settings and under output drop down menu select the correct device.
